Atomic Tackle Dissolva PVA Tape Slow Melt 10mm (20m) – tidy bait wraps that dissolve on cue for longer presentation
Width 10mm – ideal for neat wrapping and binding of bait without adding bulk Length 20m – plenty of material for multiple fishing sessions Slow Melt action – dissolves gradually once in water, extending your bait presentation Versatile – perfect for PVA sticks and general bait wrapping, enabling controlled baiting techniques Keeps rigs neat – helps bait stay in place in weed, margins, or on choppy water Stays put until water contact – reduces mess during baiting and wrapping Compatible with standard PVA rigging methods – easy to integrate into existing setups
The Dissolva PVA Tape Slow Melt is designed for controlled baiting, giving you tidy wraps that disappear in the water when you want them to. At 10mm wide, it’s the go-to size for neat binding without bulk, while 20 metres of tape means you won’t run out mid-session. The slow-dissolving nature of the tape means your presentation stays intact longer, helping your rigs stay neat and your baits dissolve in a controlled manner when you reach the right moment. Why anglers choose slow-melt PVA for UK waters
In weed beds, along weed margins, or across choppy seas, having a reliable, tidy wrap can make all the difference. The 10mm width gives you more control over the shape of your bait wrap, so your bait stays compact and easy to sink to the right depth. The 20m reel is handy for longer sessions or multiple rigs, meaning you can switch setups without constantly re-cutting tape. The slow-melt action is particularly useful when you want your bait to present over a longer stretch of time, reducing the need for frequent re-baiting in tougher conditions. It’s compatible with PVA sticks and general bait wrapping, letting you tailor your presentation to the water you’re fishing—whether you’re targeting weeded margins, open margins, or turbulent surface conditions. Usage instructions
Cut a length of tape to suit your bait or stick. Start with a small piece and add more if needed. Wrap the tape around the bait or stick, binding snugly but not so tight that it crushes the bait. Seal the ends to prevent fraying and to keep the wrap tidy until you’re ready to fish. Place the wrapped bait into your rig or baiting cone as usual. When you’re ready to fish, cast and let the bait sit in the water. The tape will dissolve gradually, aiding a controlled release of the bait.
Practical tips for UK anglers
Use the 10mm width when you need a compact, tidy wrap on smaller baits or when wrapping multiple baits on a single rig. For heavier or larger baits, wrap with care to ensure the tape stays in place but doesn’t add unneeded bulk. In weed or margins, the neat wrap helps the bait cut through vegetation and present cleanly on the strike. On choppy water, ensure your wrap is secure so wind and waves don’t dislodge the bait before it dissolves. Pair with standard PVA sticks and related baiting tools to maximise presentation control.
Care info and compatibility
The tape is designed to stay put until it hits water, then dissolve gradually. It’s compatible with common PVA-based baiting techniques used by UK anglers and works well with PVA sticks and other PVA baiting aids. For best results, keep wraps neat and avoid over-tightening, which can affect how evenly the tape dissolves in the water. Related products and additional information for UK fisherman
